Final Day of Gulf Shores...

On the last evening of our vacation, we took mom to the state park at the Florida/Alabama state line.  We enjoyed another beautiful sunset, Mariele tried to capture a heron, and we took some nice photos.

Kite Flying Fun in Gulf Shores

Everyone knows the beach is the most awesome place to fly a kite, and my girls have the awesome kite flying aunt and uncle.

They flew kites...and flew kites...and multitasked by building sand castles and flying kites at the same time. Somehow, when it was time to pull the kites down out of the upper atmosphere, I was the one stuck with that task. Can't really complain though, seeing as how my butt was glued to a chaise lounge
and it was not a hardship to prop my kindle on my legs.

Lee snapped this lovely shot of Aunt Annette flying the kite in the surf at sunset.

Portraits in White...

It took MANY shots, but we did get a few family portraits that may just be Christmas card worthy!

This is my rugged man with his vacation beard.

Girl Cousins...

Of course, the girls ADORE baby Aloe. We got some sweet photos of the girl cousins together.

Beautiful Aloe...

We were blessed to be able to spend lots of time with our beautiful niece/cousin Aloe, who is 13.5 months old.  Lee took some great photos of her one afternoon in the beach house.  Oh, why can't we all keep our 13 month old baby skin??

More Gulf Shores

A fun and relaxing time was had by all. The tubes were a big hit.

Inside the beach house, Analese found an optical illusion book. The child was OBSESSED by optical illusions by the end of the week. She will definitely get one of these books for Christmas this year.

We are Back from the Beach...

We had the nicest beach vacation this year. The weather was nothing but perfect the whole week, and we really enjoyed spending lots of time with our families. I will try to post some blogs over the next several days as I get a chance.
