Holy Cat what a day!

So we dropped off registration papers at the pediatrician's office.  That went pretty smoothly.  Then I went to the hospital to complete my pre-registration.  That went NOT so smoothly.  Took freaking forever and then I ran out of time because I had to go next door the the OB's office for my appointment.  Had hit a snag with the registration anyway that Lee had to go clear up with them.

So the 38 week OB appointment went well.  She did an ultrasound to get the baby's size (although she admits baby is probably bigger).  Ultrasound says baby is 5.5 pounds right now, but I say ultrasound is full of crap!  I'm certain baby is bigger than that and will be born slightly bigger than Analese's 7 pounds 2 ounces.  REALLY REALLY weird that I dropped 3 pounds this week.  I mean I know my belly is bigger, but the scale says I lost 3 pounds.  She asked me if I've been throwing up.  I said yes, but not food - just morning dry heaves.  I've been eating pretty well actually.  High fat and high calorie I know!  I must have a parasite in there.  Her theory is I got rid of some fluid, but I really have not had any significant swelling.  So I'm only up 21 pounds from pre-pregnancy weight.  With Analese I gained 22 pounds total.  When she was feeling of my belly she said I am one of those people who measures small but really does have a belly full of baby.  Tell me about it!!  She also confirmed that the head is actually lower down, which I suspected.  My Blood pressure was up slightly after being at the hospital admissions desk.  It was still normal, just up for me.  My BP is usually pretty low.

So then Analese and I went back to the hospital.  As I was getting her out of her car seat to go in I told her, "Mommy is so proud of you for being so good today.  You are SUCH a trooper!"  To which she responded, "I NOT a trooper, I Analese, I a GIRL!"  So after Lee had smoothed out the bump in the road with registration, everything went smoothly and I am now fully pre-registered at the hospital.  All I have to do is show up at L & D the morning of the 20th!

Something else I am excited about:  Lee had talked to some of the OB nurses the other day.  This one nurse was talking about a pediatrician or somebody who had a c-section there.  This lady had a special clear drape ordered so she could view her c-section.  Lee says, "COOL - that is exactly what Melanie wants to do!"  So this OB nurse took it upon herself to get one of these clear drapes for me for my c-section!  So I even get to see the live event!  WOW a week from RIGHT NOW I will be holding my baby Mariele.  Unbelievable!

Cute video......

This was taken with my new camera and SEVERELY shrunk down so I could share it. This is Analese jogging with the Wii fit yesterday. I think it still looks like pretty decent video even after quick time shrunk it down for me:

Test blog from my iPhone........

This is a test of the emergency blogging system. Will try blogging from hospital after baby is born from my iPhone.

My slothiness and other randomness.......

I honestly do not remember being THIS wiped out the end of last pregnancy. I worked up until the day before I delivered. I was much sicker with nausea then though. This time I am just TIRED! I wake up, take a shower and wish I could just go back to bed! This morning was pretty cold, although it warmed up nicely later in the day. I wanted Analese to get some activity, but I did not want to bundle up and go to the park or anywhere else. So we played Wii Fit! She loves to jog and play some of the balance games. I took a very cute movie of her jogging but I can't figure out how to shrink it enough to share it.

I've been craving Eggs Benedict and have had some for the past 2 days. I got up this morning and made some for me and Analese. I just used the Knorr Hollandaise sauce packet. Was not quite ambitious enough to try The Pioneer Woman's homemade version. Also being a vegetarian I kind of created my own version using vegetarian "turkee" instead of the canadian bacon. I also like a cooked hard yolk. Pioneer Woman would disagree with me there. Anyway - surprisingly Analese really loved it! She ate almost 2 poached eggs with the sauce. She says, "I LOVE the egg sauce, mommy!" So here is the cute conversation I had with her about the English muffin:

Me: Analese, let me get you an English muffin.

Analese: I want to take the paper off! (She remembers I made blueberry muffins a few days ago in the paper cupcake cups)

Me: These are English muffins. They don't have paper on them.

I give her one.

Analese: Mommy, this is not a muffin. This is BREAD!

Me: It is a special kind of muffin called an English muffin.

Analese: Mommy, this is NOT an English muffin. This is English BREAD!

OK!!!!

Another cute thing: This evening after dinner I was sneaking a bite of brownie. Analese sees me chewing over by the brownie pan (we made the brownies earlier today) and she asks, "Mommy, what you eating?" I told her "nothing". Lee says, :"Tell mommy she is busted." And Analese says "BUSTED!!!!" So cute - well you probably had to be there.

Today I've barely had any twinges. Just a few regularly scheduled BH contractions. Sloths are probably pretty slow to go into labor though. We will see how tomorrow goes. Analese and I have a busy morning going to the hospital to take care of some registration paperwork, then to the pediatrician to register there, then to my FINAL OB appointment before my c-section!

The dramatic shock value post........

Last night was the full moon. AND for awhile I was wondering if I was going into labor! What actually happened was I had the BH (Braxton Hicks) contractions combined with some wild movements on Mariele's part (maybe she was doing the full moon dance in there) combined with the ligament pain. I found myself on the floor of our closet as I was trying to get dressed in my nightgown. I literally could not get up I was having such pain down low low low in my abdomen. It felt like she was on my cervix moving very wildly. Lee made me get in bed for awhile. I got up a little later to brush my teeth and wash my face. Lee was not happy with me for even getting up. He thought teeth brushing was just not important. I disagree, compulsive teeth brusher that I am. So everything eventually settled down and today I seem to be OK. The perk to me is that Lee got up early and did our weekly Wal-Mart shopping trip so I did not have to. Lee is instructing me to take it easy this week so I can in fact make it to my scheduled c-section on the 20th.

Winter is the birthday season!

Had another birthday yesterday. Analese's young buddy Anita turned 3. To celebrate we went to Chuck E Cheese (following a nice meal at a great Tex-Mex restaurant) to let the kid's play. Let's just say I don't have quite as much fun there as my daughter does. But Analese had a lot of fun playing. Hence their slogan, where a kid can be a kid. Guess I'm just not a kid anymore. But I was pretty tired last night and having some contractions and bladder issues. Here are a few cutie pics of Analese there:
