Weekend Highlights . . .

Valentine's weekend has been nice, but maybe not so romantic. We enjoyed a wonderful vegetarian Thanksgiving-style lunch yesterday with our friends at their house. We also got to spend some time with their neighbors who were also there. The girls wanted to hold Mariele. Alanna first because she is the oldest:

And then her little sister Anita really wanted a turn. Look at her cute and pouty face in this photo:

Finally Anita gets her turn and now she's happy:

This morning Mariele enjoyed a nice nap on her Daddy:

And this is a funny picture of Analese that I took on Thursday night. The child LOVES her pacis and she has a paci stash in her special drawer in my night stand. She thought it would be funny to try to put as many pacis in her mouth as she possibly could. She made it to four! I am going to have to start losing these pacis one by one I guess.

Early Valentine's!

So I had confessed to hubby the other night that I was suffering from a pretty serious sweet tooth, specifically having a killer chocolate craving. I knew Valentine's Day was coming up and I thought he just might take note. He knows after almost 10 years of marriage (12 years of knowing each other) that really all I want for Valentine's Day is chocolate. Hold the flowers and jewelry, just show me the chocolate (the one exception is the year he got me the diamond Seiko watch and there is also the year he got me the cool Revo sunglasses - I have had a few good non-chocolate Valentine's gifts). Well, this afternoon he walked in the door with something behind his back. He asked me if I should get my Valentine's gift now or on Valentine's Day. I left that decision up to him, so he opted to go ahead and deliver the goods. Here is what he brought home for me!

Those chocolates are from a shop called Schakolad. They specialize in European style chocolates. He got me all dark chocolates, which is what I love the best! And yes, the heart shaped box is made out of dark chocolate! And he also brought home the cake you see in the photo. It is a chocolate dipped strawberry cake he got from Sam's. We had some for dessert after dinner tonight and it was very good as well!

Here are some cute pics of Analese with her Daddy:

And here are some cute ones of Mariele. You can see the blanket that my friend Carrie hand-knitted for her before she was born.

And here is one of Analese when she was almost 3 months old. I swear it sometimes freaks me out how much my children look alike!

It was like pulling teeth.................

but I FINALLY got some Christmas poses with Analese smiling! And not the cheesy facial expression that she likes to call a smile lately!

So here are the family poses that I kept:

Here are some that I took of her and Daddy. Unfortunately they are blurry. I did not realize as I was snapping the pics that the flash battery was low and the camera was not flashing:

And for the REALLY difficult shots, the cute ones where she is smiling (and not like Chandler on Friends getting his engagement photos)!

And just a couple more close-up smiles:
