Happy New Year!

I'm still here, but I am just buried in projects! I am busy trying to convert 13 and a half months of my blog to a blog book once and for all. Unfortunately, this does not leave me any time left over for actual blogging! I'm trying to complete this project ASAP so that I am able to resume normal blogging.

2010 is shaping up to be a very busy, but exciting year. I'm particularly excited about participating in 500 in 2010. So far I'm at 3.06 miles. I may make the 500 miles by the skin of my teeth, but I LOVE a challenge, and I tend to become singularly focused on meeting a goal when I really set my mind to it. I have not exercised significantly since before I became pregnant with Mariele, so I think it is time to kick it up a notch!

This is the 8th year in a row (I think) that I am doing a yearly Bible read. This year I am doing Project 345 Plus on the YouVersion Bible that I am able to read on my iPhone. Project 345 is based on the fact that it takes an average of 3 minutes and 45 seconds to read a chapter of the New Testament. The 345 Plus plan adds in a Psalm and Proverb per day, plus selected readings (the less dry ones) from the Old Testament 5 days per week. So far I really enjoy this plan.

I hope to be able to find more time for myself, as well as more couple time for me and Lee in 2010. I'm not sure how we are going to accomplish this. But it is a goal.

I strive to find the daily balance that I need in my life. Good food, good rest, quality time spent with my family and friends, quiet time, exercise, enjoyable projects, schooling Analese - these are all important facets in my life. I am trying to find time to do each of these things WELL in 2010.

I would also like to brush up on my photography skills. Maybe even learn about things like F stops and metering etc. I am blessed with a great camera. I probably need to finally learn how to use the thing!

We will probably make more of an effort to attend church now that Mariele is a bit older. We are still deeply mourning the loss of our church in Denver (well, the church is still there, but we are not, obviously). I will try to make an effort to feel somewhat at home in a church down here. We probably will not be attending every week or anything, but hopefully we can make it more often than we did in 2009.

Those are my thoughts for the coming year. I just love a fresh, new year! Possibilities abound. Such great potential. So many exciting times to be had.

We used to do a read through the Bible in a year when I was in school. Oy, Leviticus! Oh and Song of Solomon was always good for a giggle.

Sounds like amazing goals. I have never done the bible reading one.

Understand the busyness. Always love to read your posts.

I love the bible read idea, and I wish us all luck with the 500K! I too would love to start attending church more often, too, but we will probably put Nathan in Sunday school so at least we just have Autumn to entertain during the service. I love all your goals, including the photography goal. Good luck! Oh, and I am having some trouble with Booksmart so I may go the Lulu route, I just need to find time to figure out which way to go. Sigh.
