I have to say that gardening is therapeutic. I've never done it before, and now I really do love it! There is something "magical" about planting a seed and having it grow into a big, majestic plant or flower.
We did a little container gardening also. I planted lavender in this pot outside our breakfast nook windows. It smells great already!
We also put flower pots around the pool. One pot is mixed Texas wildflowers, one is Texas blue bonnets and the other is snapdragons!
Lee put trellis netting up behind the smaller garden box so that the snow peas would have a place to climb. Those snow peas really grow fast and we already have some baby snow peas! We also have a parsley plant in that box, and the arugula is sprouting. There are two squares of texas sweet onions too! And as I am blogging right now, Lee just completed the trellis structure, and it actually looks a lot more awesome now. I will get a picture of that next time.
The larger box by the fence has basil, red pepper, rosemary, tomatoes, strawberries and some other seeds planted.
And here is Analese with her new bubble blower.

I seem to have a brown thumb and no place to plant. I think I need to take a class. Your gardens look amazing. I like the raised beds. It looks so kid friendly too.
Analese with her bubbles- how cute! I have tried to plant flowers at our prior houses and will probably give it a go here too. I like it, but like Heidi pretty much have a brown thumb!
Another brown thumb here, not to mention I live in the desert but I could probably make a raised garden bed like that work - I am loving it. My hubby will be so glad when I tell him I have a new project for him. Looks like Lee is pretty handy and has put in a lot of hard work. Can't wait to see the trellis.
I love, love, love gardening so keep us updated!! I always plant strawberries in a pot and we get some nice ones early in the growing season. I haven't blogged in almost a week either- due to us all being sick! Ugh! I haven't ran much either.
